TaTaTu, a blockchain-based social entertainement platform will release documentary ‘Friedkin Uncut’ in North America and the U.K. Written and directed by Francesco Zippel, the movie is about film director William Friedkin, the creator of The Exorcist, The French Connection, Sorcerer, Crusing, To Live and Die in L.A. and Killer Joe. The bioptic will be streamed exclusively on TaTaTu platform.
“Francesco did a masterful job making this movie, telling this story, and and bringing in such an amazing stable of Hollywood stars to give it cinematic gravitas,” TaTaTu co-produced the movie Andrea Iervolino said.
The bioptic features the likes of Quentin Tarantino, Francis Ford Coppola, Wes Anderson, Michael Shannon, and Damien Chazelle talking about the auteur of existential dread . Friedkin also talks on camera about his journey from being the mailboy at WGN-TV in Chicago to becoming one of the most influential directors of his generation.
TaTaTu is a blockchain-based online platform that reward its users for watching and sharing content in tokens. In June, the company announced a $575 million token pre-sale, proceeds of which proceeds are being used to bankroll original content, as well as market and roll out the service, which is still in Beta launch mode.
