Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has joined a blockchain startup aimed at more efficient use of energy in Malta. He has invested in the EFFORCE project and become a co-founder.
The startup aims to bring money savings on energy, but also help the environment, something he said was important to him.
“Blockchain will bring improvements to energy use and reduce consumption without consumers needing to change their habits,” Steve Wozniak said at an event on the island Thursday.
Wozniak also highlighted the important role of the Maltese government’s enthusiasm for blockchain that was crucial in the company setting up shop there.
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has joined the team of investment-focused crypto startup Equi Capital, which aims to help both retail and professional investors purchase equity in companies in an effort to replace traditional investing firms. Wozniak did not provide details on what his role would be at the startup.
As previously reported, last August, Steve Wozniak first got involved with blockchain companies when he had joined the team of investment-focused crypto startup Equi Capital.
